'It was very clear' - Elche manager believes Kessie should've been shown second yellow card
The real controversy centered around one of the episodes during the Barcelona - Elche clash. Franck Kessie hit one of the opposing team's players with his arm.
By that time, he had already been given a yellow card. The second one would've left Barca with ten men.
"Kessie needed to be sent off. It was very clear, but the referee did not see it that way. Maybe if he was sent off we would have created some offensive danger", - claimed Elche manager Francisco Rodriguez, who was given a red car himself for disputing the referee.
It seems that the referee considered the foul to be unintentional and didn't book the Ivorian with the second yellow.
❓Do you think Kessie deserved being sent off?
