'I have to do my job': De Gea responds to Henderson's 'criminal treatment' comment
When asked about Dean Henderson's statement against Manchester United's 'criminal' treatment of him, David De Gea told reporters: "I have to do my job, to try to be better every day.”
"I don’t think it’s the time to talk about our team and what happened last season, we should be more focused on the season now.
"I have no comments about that."
That's a classy response from David, as it was his solid form last season that kept Henderson on the bench.
Despite his abysmal performance in the Europa League final of 2021, De Gea made a strong comeback even in our worst-ever campaign.
Henderson, meanwhile, complained about his lack of game time in an interview following his loan to Nottingham Forest this summer.
