When asked to name the best player he's ever shared the field with at Manchester United, Anthony Martial told France Football: "We have spoken about being genuine and so I can speak about Wayne Rooney.
"He’s the best player I have played with. He’s always playing for the team, always at 100%, no fuss.
"A monster. And a model as a footballer."
Rooney remains our highest goal scorer of all time, having scored 250 goals in our colours.
Meanwhile, Martial enjoyed a stellar pre-season under Erik ten Hag but is currently unable to play through injury.
