'He's faked an injury. I find that insulting': Moyes slams Mendy again
Speaking at a post-game press conference, West Ham manager David Moyes doubled down on his criticism of Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy after VAR chalked off what would be a last-minute equaliser for the Hammers.
"Jarrod [Bowen] says he hasn't touched the goalkeeper at all," Moyes said, as per The Independent's Miguel Delaney.
If anything, it might be a slight trailing foot, but the goalkeeper has already dropped the ball. He's faked a shoulder injury. It didn't affect him last 15 minutes.
"I find that insulting. I don't send my teams out to do that."
While it could be debated whether Bowen intended to hurt Mendy, the contact was visible on the TV, and Thomas Tuchel has confirmed that Mendy is in a lot of pain and in doubt for the next game.
