'He still has to be integrated': Klopp dismisses concerns over Darwin's form

Jurgen Klopp was asked whether or not he is concerned about Darwin Nunez and his form after the goalless Merseyside derby and the boss stated that Nunez will come good.

“No. He has had a start-stop integration. We play all the time and that means we cannot train constantly. In the sessions he’s had he looks really good, but he still has to be integrated.

“It’s completely normal. I know he had one chance when there was a sight of goal and [Jordan] Pickford was there [to save it], but I know he will score in moments like this in the future, that is clear.

“He didn’t score but it’s not a concern, it’s just the situation. It’s all fine for the moment in that perspective. We fought, didn’t play always extremely well, but we had top chances and didn’t use them. We could have won, but we could have lost, so we take it and move on.”

Darwin was thrown back into the mix after missing three games and we shouldn't be too worried just yet. He's only played 2 full games so far so form doesn't even come into it yet, really. With the team not in the best form it also translates to individuals looking worse. Once he is well settled we will see the best of Darwin.
