Everton turn down a late Chelsea bid for Anthony Gordon

As per David Maddock, Everton have turned down a late bid from Chelsea for winger Anthony Gordon.

The Blues have been after Gordon for the past few weeks and were reported to be making a bid worth £45 million earlier this week.

"Anthony is too important a player," Frank Lampard said of Anthony Gordon.

"He has showed his worth in the last two games, it is too late. He is going to be special. In the bigger picture, he has an affiliation with the fans."
