Brentford manager: 'Arteta will say one game at a time but Arsenal are title contenders'
"We lost to the number-one [side] in the Premier League," Brentford manager Thomas Frank said after his side was beaten by Arsenal.
"I said before the game they were a top side. I think they’ll compete for the title now.
"They’re top of the table, you can’t argue with that. I think they’ve done brilliant. I know it’s a long season and Arteta will say one game at a time, but if they continue like this, they must be title contenders.
"We talked about Ødegaard being out, their captain. Then they just put a £35m player [Fabio Vieira] in instead.
"A well-deserved win. You can see how hard they worked. You can see how they celebrated the first goal - the huddle. They showed us a lot of respect."
Thanks to Frank for the kind words. Curiously, Mikel Arteta indeed said something along the lines of "one game at a time" after the 3-0 win that put Arsenal back into first place in the standings.
"We are enjoying our football," Mik replied when quizzed about a title charge. "We are going to push to be the best we can be. The table won't lie after 38 games."
