Barcelona 'prepare lawsuit against Atletico Madrid' over Griezmann payment

Barcelona are preparing a lawsuit against Atletico Madrid over the Antoine Griezmann loan deal, reports Cadena SER's Sique Rodriguez.

The Catalans want €40m immediately. They believe the Frenchman has already had enough game time to join Atletico Madrid on a permanent deal.

According to Barcelona sources, there is a '1+1' agreement with Atletico Madrid. If Griezmann plays 50 per cent of all the games in his first season, Atletico are obliged to buy him out for €40m. If not, this condition applies to the second season.

Griezmann indeed played more than 50 per cent of the games with Atletico last season. This is why Barca believe they must receive those €40m as soon as possible.
