'Worst decision': Kessie criticized for joining Barca after playing 23 mins in 2 games
After featuring for 18 minutes in his debut against Rayo Vallecano, Franck Kessie came in as a late sub for the last five minutes against Real Sociedad. The Ivorian midfielder has thus played only 23 minutes in his two games for Barcelona so far.
As Corriere dello Sport claim, the 25-year-old was a 'trending' topic on Twitter among Italian, mainly AC Milan, fans. They criticized his decision to move to Camp Nou.
Here are some of the comments.
antig9696: "Seen a bit of Barcelona and I say that Kessie made the worst choice when the other coach intends to use him as a midfielder with even offensive tasks. Goodnight."
Visto un po’ di Barcellona e dico che Kessiè ha fatto la scelta peggiore, poi l’altro santone intende utilizzarlo da mezzala con compiti anche offensivi… buonanotte

PianiMino: "Barcelona is ramping up 1-4 and at 81st minute Kessie is still sitting on the bench. What a waste, what an idiot."
Il Barcellona sta dilagando 1-4 e all’ 81º Kessie è ancora seduto in panca.

Che spreco, che imbecille
espertheo: "Meanwhile, Kessie benched 2 times out of 2, the second even with Busquets disqualified. 22 minutes in 2 games."

Roby848484: "Good 6 minutes for Kessie... Bring the water bottles to make Gavi, 19 years old, walk the catwalk. You chose this yourself."
Ben 6 minuti per Kessie... Porta le borracce..per far fare passerella a Gavi, 19 anni, sono scelte ..

Kessie started a couple of games during pre-season, but Xavi seems to be less inclined to give him minutes in the official games. At Milan, the midfielder was an undisputed starter.
However, the season is long, so it's too early to judge what Franck's role will end up being. After all, Frenkie de Jong could leave, and Pedri and Gavi are too young to play non-stop.
