'We are working but one thing stays important': Klopp speaks on possibility of a deadline week transfer
The reports coming from Liverpool FC have been consistent across the summer - they will not sign a midfielder or a new player until the fit is perfect and he can challenge for a starting position while being affordable.
Jurgen Klopp was asked to comment on the Reds' mentality in the transfer market going into the final week. He said: "I don't know.
"We are actually working constantly on this kind of things. We spoke about the reasons why sometimes if it's not happening – sometimes too expensive, sometimes not the right player but then the situation changed, stuff like this.
"But one thing stays important, really important: it needs to be the right player. We are working but we will see if something will happen or not. I don't know."
Klopp's words suggest that while Liverpool have their eyes open for a late chance in the market, the probability of a new player coming in is still slim as lots of factors have to be taken into consideration.
As a reminder, the deadline for the summer transfer window is September 1.
