Ross Barkley leaves Chelsea by mutual consent

Chelsea have reached an agreement to terminate Ross Barkley's contract, it is confirmed by the club.

The midfielder leaves the club and becomes a free agent.

Barkley joined Chelsea from Everton in January 2018 and made 100 appearances for the Blues in all competitions, scoring 12 goals.

Unfortunately, things never worked out for the midfielder in Chelsea colours as he could not lock down a starting position for himself and over time, became a largely unutilised member of the squad.
