Ronaldo 'Open' To Napoli Move Amid Man United's Links To Osimhen
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Cristiano Ronaldo and Jorge Mendes are not giving up on their attempts to arrange a move away from Man United for the 37-year-old.
It's stated that Ronaldo is open to joining Napoli on loan for the next season due to his desperation to play in the Champions League.
Man United will be prepared to continue paying a significant part of Ronaldo's wages, Gazzetta adds.
However, it's unlikely that Victor Osimhen goes the opposite route. A deal for the 23-year-old Nigerian depended on United's progress in signing Antony from Ajax. As that transfer is close to completion, an expensive move for Osimhen is off the table this summer.
The Independent confirms this information while adding that Sporting Lisbon is another destination considered by Ronaldo - even though that idea wouldn't be appreciated by their manager Ruben Amorim.
Ronaldo found himself on the bench in three out of four Premier League games this campaign after missing a huge chunk of the pre-season as he tried to arrange a move elsewhere.
