Real Madrid assure Luka Modric of 'another contract extension' on one condition

Luka Modric has been assured of another one-year contract extension if he continues performing at the same level as last season, as per Diario AS.

Modric was a big hero for Real Madrid last season as he played a key role in helping Los Blancos lift the Champions League title again.

The Croatian icon played a total of 45 games last season, scoring 3 goals and laying on 12 assists. Let's not forget that Modric will be 37 next month.

This season, Modric is still looking in top shape and doesn't look like a player who wants to warm the bench.
