Manchester United have latest bid of £76.2million rejected for Ajax winger Antony
Manchester United have had a bid of £76.2m (€90m) rejected for Ajax star Antony.
The winger has been left frustrated with United as he is eager to join Erik ten Hag's side.
United previously had an initial offer of £68m for the 22-year-old turned down.
Antony has been one of United's key transfer targets throughout this window, with ten Hag having previously worked with him at Ajax.
The Brazil international wants the deal to go ahead but Ajax are holding out for their valuation of their valuation of £84.8m (€100m).
Antony featured in Ajax's first two league games of the season but then trained separately from his team-mates and wasn't included in the squad to face Sparta Rotterdam.
Ten Hag signed Antony for Ajax from Sao Paulo in February 2020. He has played 82 times for the Dutch club so far, scoring 24 goals and providing 22 assists.
United had considered a possible deal for Chelsea's Christian Pulisic but that transfer proved somewhat complicated.
So far this summer United have signed Casemiro, Tyrell Malacia, Christian Eriksen and Lisandro Martinez.
The acquisition of Antony would be an impressive way to end the transfer window for United, but it remains to be seen whether a deal can be done before the deadline.
