Liverpool 'pressing' with Jota for new long-term deal, player will likely extend contract
As per reliable Liverpool source Dominic King of the Daily Mail, Liverpool are 'pressing on with contract talks' with Diogo Jota.
The Portuguese international signed for the Reds in the summer of 2020 and has been great so far, scoring 35 goals in 84 appearances.
The report adds that Liverpool believe they will tie Jota down to a long-term deal as he is expected to sign the offer.
Talks with his advisors been progressing for some time and Liverpool understand the importance of Jota to the squad.
The striker is currently out injured but is reportedly expected to be back in training in two weeks.
