'Here we go': Timo Werner leaves Chelsea for Leipzig - Romano
Timo Werner will permanently leave Chelsea for RB Leipzig, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Romano has rubberstamped the report with his 'here we go' phrase. That means it's a done deal. The German striker will undergo a medical at Leipzig on Tuesday after the paperwork is signed.
Chelsea agreed a month ago to offload Werner after two largely unsuccessful seasons in London.
The Blues will cut their losses on the 26-year-old striker who was bought for €53m from the same Leipzig in 2020. Florian Plettenberg claims Chelsea will only get €20m for the transfer.
Werner scored 23 goals and registered 21 assists in 89 Chelsea games.
