Frenkie De Jong asks for meeting to discuss pay cut
Frenkie De Jong has asked his agents to meet with Barcelona over a salary reduction, per Miguel Sanz.
The Dutchman is said to be ready to accept a pay cut as he doesn't want to leave Barca.
All through the saga, Barcelona have maintained that they want the player to stay. However, it was only on the terms that the player accepts a salary reduction to fit into Barca's new salary scale.
Manchester United, Chelsea and Bayern Munich have all pulled out of the race to sign the midfielder after learning about his decision to remain in Spain.
Without a pay cut, De Jong will be Barca's highest earner this term earning up to €14m gross.
