Chelsea make major offer to sign Frenkie de Jong - become favorites for him

Chelsea are now the favourites to sign Frenkie de Jong from Barcelona after making an attractive offer, claims Diario Sport.

The Blues have made an offer of €70m plus Marcos Alonso, a player who the Spanish club wants to buy.

De Jong is now likely to join Chelsea in the summer transfer window, claims the reliable Gerard Romero.

Man United had reportedly agreed a fee of €85m with Barca for the midfielder, but Chelsea seems to be a more attractive option for him.

De Jong wants Champions League football, which the London side can promise him.

It’s likely that the Dutchman will leave Barca next week, but it remains to be seen whether he joins United or Chelsea.
