Barca to reportedly offer Busquets contract extension, but there's a catch

Barcelona would like to offer Sergio Busquets a new deal but it won't be a simple extension, the reliable Ferran Correas of Diario Sport (4 stars) reports.

The Catalans plan to offer Busquets a contract until 2024 with an exit clause in 2023. They also want to defer his current salary, helping the club register the new players.

It's been previously said that Sergio had no plans of extending his deal with Barca. His plan was to leave Camp Nou next summer.

On the proposed terms, the 34-year-old would still be able to leave in 2023, but he might not get a portion of his salary.
