Aguero on Haaland's debut: 'He's too used to Germany and then Van Dijk welcomed him to Premier League'
Sergio Aguero is Manchester City's greatest-ever striker. The man who hopes to topple his standing is Erling Haaland, who made his English debut against Liverpool in the Community Shield game.
While Haaland had a few good chances to score, he was not able to do so and his touches were limited with Virgil van Dijk and Joel Matip playing some great defence.
Aguero said on his Twitch stream of Haaland's debut: "He was too used to Germany, he thought he was alone, then [Virgil] Van Dijk arrived and said, 'Welcome to the Premier League!'".
Haaland scored 22 goals in 24 league matches last year in the Bundesliga. It surely won't be as easy for him to replicate those numbers in England.
