Who is Liverpool's next likeliest departure after Neco Williams? Answered
As per multiple reports, Nottingham Forest have agreed on a deal with Liverpool to sign Neco Williams for £17m.
Liverpool's incoming transfer business is finished for the summer but after Neco, there is likely to be at least one sale.
Naby Keita is expected to be given a new long-term deal with Joe Gomez having already signed a contract extension. The team also has no plans to entertain any offer for backup keeper Caoimhin Kelleher.
Therefore, the likeliest player to leave the squad now is Nat Phillips. As per the latest report from The Athletic, Liverpool definitely want to offload the centre-back this summer.
However, whether he leaves on a permanent transfer or a loan deal depends on what offer the Reds get. They value him at £15m and won't settle for a deal lesser than that.
At the moment, Bournemouth are the most interested club but they are unwilling to pay what Liverpool want.
If the Reds don't get their desired price, they are reportedly on board to loan Phillips out for another season.
The defender is not expected to get a lot of game time with four centre-backs ahead of him in the pecking order. We just have to wait and see if a suitable offer does arrive for Phillips.
