Timo Werner 'would accept 50 per cent salary cut' to return to Leipzig
According to German media outlet Bild, Timo Werner is increasingly open to returning to his former club RB Leipzig.
As per the report, he would even be willing to accept a 50 per cent salary cut to make it happen.
Currently, a potential loan with a buyout clause is being discussed.
Werner's future at Chelsea has been in doubt since he said that he 'could be happy everywhere' in a hint that he'd be open to a move.
His salary is a huge stumbling block as he earns around ₤272,000 per week which is why a cut will most likely be necessary to complete any move.
In two years since joining Chelsea, Werner has scored 23 goals across all competitions but regularly frustrated the fans with his finishing.
