Cristiano Ronaldo is finally travelling back to Manchester on Monday evening, according to The Athletic, a tier-one source.
The 37-year-old is set to have crunch talks with Manchester United about his future after missing the pre-season tour of Asia and Australia.
It remains to be seen whether the Portuguese will join the rest of the squad in training on Tuesday but a conversation with Erik ten Hag will be taking place.
The Red Devils consider Ronaldo's return to England to be a 'positive sign'. There's still a 'lack of clarity' about the situation but it's looking 'increasingly likely' that Cristiano will stay.
