Sebastien Haller leaves Borussia Dortmund training camp due to testicular tumour

As per The Guardian, Borussia Dortmund striker Sebastien Haller has left their pre-season training camp after a tumour was discovered on his testicles during a medical examination.

The 28-year-old has returned to Germany for further tests, leaving the rest of his teammates in Switzerland.

Haller first complained of feeling unwell on Monday and while conducting tests, the club doctors found the tumour.

Tumours do not always mean a cancer diagnosis - they can be benign at times.

"This news today came as a shock to Sebastien Haller and everyone else,” Dortmund sporting director, Sebastian Kehl, said.

"The entire BVB family hopes that Sebastien makes a full recovery as soon as possible and that we can give him a hug again soon. We’ll do everything in our power to ensure that he receives the best possible treatment."

Haller scored 21 goals and provided seven assists for Ajax last season, before sealing a transfer to Dortmund this summer.
