Ronaldo out, Malacia in: United announce 31-man squad for pre-season tour

Manchester United have confirmed 31 players who will head to Thailand and Australia for the pre-season tour.

As expected, Cristiano Ronaldo will not be one of them which adds to the uncertainty over his future.

"Cristiano Ronaldo will not be in the party departing for Thailand as he has been granted additional time off to deal with a family issue," the statement on the club's official website reads.

Phil Jones and Brandon Williams are two other players who are not on the plane as they stay at Carrington to work individually on their fitness.
