Roberto Carlos delivers surprising answer to Messi or Ronaldo question - Madrid fans will love it

In a recent interview with Los Blancos Zone, Real Madrid legend Roberto Carlos was asked to pick the best between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. His answer may come as a bit surprising.

"Vinicius Junior," Roberto Carlos said laughingly.

"Messi and Ronaldo stopped. Right now, it's Vinicius Junior," he added.

In terms of career, Vinicius is still far from Messi and Ronaldo. If we are speaking strictly about last season, though, the Brazilian definitely was the best among the three.

The 21-year-old finished the 2021/2022 term with 22 goals and 20 assists in 52 matches for Madrid while winning three trophies. That's much better than Ronaldo's 24 goals and 3 assists and Messi's 11 goals and 15 assists.
