Real Madrid considering 'terminating' Mariano contract if he doesn't leave
Real Madrid are looking at the idea of terminating their contract with Mariano Diaz if the striker refuses to leave the club this summer, according to Diario AS.
Mariano is in the last year of his contract and it is believed that he wants to run it down. However, Los Blancos are open to offloading him now to make room for some other backup for Karim Benzema.
There are offers for Mariano from within Spain, with Valladolid said to be interested, but the Dominican doesn't seem like he's interested in leaving.
Ancelotti prefers Eden Hazard as Benzema's backup, with Borja Mayoral another option - that leaves Mariano surplus to requirements this season.
