Raheem Sterling finally explains why he left Manchester City for Chelsea
Speaking to Chelsea TV, Raheem Sterling said: "Seeing in the last two years, it's four or five finals that you guys have been in, the progress, you won the Champions League and are now looking to challenge for the Premier League.
"It's something that intrigued me when I was having a conversation with the club. Seeing the direction that you guys are going in, it's something I really bought into and I just felt it is a place where I can really come into my own.
"I just think it's the perfect platform for me. The club's got that winning mentality but to keep doing it every single year and keep winning more and building on the previous season, I think that's what top managers like Thomas Tuchel do.
"It's not one year win and next year rest, it's again and again and again and that's what excites me to be here. It's the challenge ahead and to win more trophies. I was certain that this is a place I want to be. I feel at home now."
Sterling, who has one year left on his Manchester City contract, made shocking switch to Chelsea earlier this summer in a £47.5 million transfer.
The England international will be looking to leave the Blues' attack next season now that Romelu Lukaku has returned to Inter Milan on loan.
