Phil Foden on the verge of signing new Manchester City contract, currently salary will be tripled
Phil Foden is 'close' to finalising a new contract at Manchester City, according to various reports in England.
The new deal will make the forward one of the highest-earning players at the club, tripling his wages from £65,000-a-week to around £200,000-a-week.
The contract is expected to run until the end of the 2022/23 season with the attacking midfielder continuing to shine for Pep Guardiola's side despite competition from world-class players in his position.
Foden has also established himself as a key player for England despite his young age. Barring a serious injury, the Man City star will be one of the first names on the plane to Qatar in November as part of Gareth Southgate's World Cup squad.
