Neymar triggers option to extend PSG deal until 2027, club 'frustrated' as they are still keen to sell him

As per reliable French source L'Equipe, Neymar has extended his contract with Paris-Saint Germain by triggering an automatic clause in his deal.

His contract was running until 2025 but yesterday night, the superstar chose to trigger the two-year extension deal which will now see his contract expiring in 2027.

Marca add that this will likely leave PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi 'frustrated' as 'leaders of the French club are still keen' to sell Neymar.

The report adds that Chelsea have emerged as the 'likeliest destination' for the Brazilian attacker.

At the moment, it is unknown if this extension will make it harder to sell Neymar. Since he now has five years left on his deal, PSG will no doubt demand a huge fee for him, unless they are desperate to offload him in which case it will not make much of a difference.
