Newcastle ready to spend £30m Ivan Toney — they sold him 4 years ago for just £650k
Newcastle United are considering resigning Ivan Toney this summer as they look to bolster their attack, according to The Sun.
The newly-rich Premier League side are ready to make an offer of £30 million to Brentford before the summer transfer window closes on August 31.
Toney was on Newcastle's books from 2015 to 2018, making just two first-team in the top flight appearances. The striker then joined Peterborough United for just £650,000.
The forward got a second chance at Brentford, scoring 43 goals in 78 games in the Championship in the Premier League. Manchester United are said to be interested in the 26-year-old as well.
