Most passes completed per 90 minutes than any other Eredivisie player: this is why Ten Hag wanted Martinez
Manchester United have officially announced the signing of Lisandro Martinez from Ajax on a five-year contract.
The 24-year-old is set to become a key player under Erik ten Hag with the new manager looking to implement a pressing style play.
Last season, the centre-back averaged more passes per 90 minutes (82.27) then any other Eredivisie player, with 39.49 of those happening in opposition half.
Those numbers highlight the Argentine's ability to play through opposition lines, something that the Dutch specialist can't expect from the likes of Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof.
