Messi wins 41st career trophy, one step closer to Dani Alves record
Leo Messi has won his 41st career trophy after Paris Saint-Germain beat Nantes in the Trophees des Champions, the French Super Cup.
The former Barcelona captain did his part in the win, delivering a great overall performance and scoring the opener.
Messi is now closer to beating Dani Alves's record for the most career trophies for a footballer. The Brazilian is currently first with 43 titles.
Of course, most of Messi's trophies, 34 to be exact, were won during his time at Camp Nou.
