Messi calls Xavi to ask him about Barca comeback, response revealed

Leo Messi has called Xavi to ask him about the possibility of coming back to Barcelona, reports El Chiringuito's Eduardo Inda.

"Messi has a good relationship with Xavi, they won it all together. Messi is uncomfortable in Paris; he spent the first few months in a hotel and his family have still not accomodated well," the journalist explains.

Xavi was delighted to hear from Leo. However, the Barca boss told his former teammate that it is Joan Laporta who should call the Argentine if the comeback is real.

There has been no call from Laporta for now, it is said. The president seemingly remains distant from the 35-year-old following last year's breakup.

Another El Chiringuito reporter and former Barcelona player Lobo Carrasco says there is news about Messi he 'could only share in January'. As a reminder, Leo's current deal with Paris Saint-Germain runs until July 2023; in January, he will be free to discuss his future with other clubs.
