Man United's negotiations with Ronaldo lead nowhere, he wants to leave and they want to keep him
Manchester United's first day of negotiations with Cristiano Ronaldo regarding his future at Old Trafford has ended in an 'impasse', according to the Telegraph.
The Portuguese arrived at Carrington's training centre alongside his agent Jorge Mendes on Tuesday. Interestingly enough, Sir Alex Ferguson was there as well.
The Red Devils 'refused to budge from their hard-line position' that Ronaldo will not be leaving the club this summer despite his clear wish to make that happen.
The 37-year-old forward is not expected to feature against Brighton on August 7 at Old Trafford when the 2022/23 Premier League campaign gets underway.
