Man United match Ajax's asking price for Lisandro Martinez after initial bid rejected
As per tier-one Dutch journalist Mike Verweij of De Telegraaf, Manchester United submitted a late bid worth €50 million to sign Lisandro Martinez this summer.
The Red Devils have also included lucrative add-ons in the deal after our initial bid of around €45 million was rejected by Ajax.
Meanwhile, reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano reported that United are undeterred by the initial rejection and will return with a new offer.
Latest reports this Friday morning claim the ball is now in Ajax's court, with Arsenal also firmly in the race. However, the centre-back, 24, is believed to be keen on reuniting with Erik ten Hag at Old Trafford.
If Ajax accept United's bid, there is little Arsenal can do to prevent the move from happening. Nevertheless, things are picking up and hopefully, United will sign another player very soon.
