Now, in 2022, the duo could become teammates, with ESPN reporting Suarez is nearing a free transfer to MLS outfit Los Angeles FC.
Gareth Bale has also joined LAFC this summer, making it ideal for Suarez as well.
The 35-year-old is available as a free agent after leaving Atletico Madrid, for whom he scored 12 goals last season.
