Kroos refuses 'new contract' -- may leave Real Madrid if Ancelotti bench him for Tchouameni
Toni Kroos may leave Real Madrid next summer if Aurelien Tchouameni is preferred ahead of him this season.
The German midfielder has decided against signing a new one-year contract with Real Madrid until he is assured of his performances this season, Marca report.
However, Real Madrid signed Tchouameni for big money and are likely to play him ahead of either Casemiro or Kroos in some games.
Kroos has been an efficient engine for Real Madrid for many years, but he suffered some injury struggles last season.
The fact is, this is the first time Kroos' place in the squad is coming under any serious threat since he joined Madrid in 2014.
