Speaking in his first interview as a Barcelona player, Robert Lewandowski said: “Finally here I am. I am very happy to join Barca.
“The last days have been very long but in the end the deal is done. I’m here to help Barca win trophies. I hope we win matches with trophies, before the season and at the end of the season too.
“I decided to come to Barca because I am a man who always wants to win and win titles and I think this is possible with Xavi, he knows Barca perfectly and he was an amazing player. The team has a great future and I want to be part of it.
“I have big goals, we have so many great players, great quality and I think we can achieve big things.”
Lewandowski left Bayern Munich after spending the last 8 years with them as he wanted to venture on a new journey in his career. The Polish striker will now hope to help Barca oust Real Madrid and win the La Liga title once again next season.
