"I said goodbye to the guys on the pitch today," Robert Lewandowski told Sky Torben.
"I wasn't worried about an injury in training. This can also happen to me at home. I wanted to stay fit and decided to train with the guys again
"These 8 years were special and I won't forget that. I had a great time in Munich. I will fly soon, but after the training camp I will come back and say goodbye properly and organise a few things.
"I will come back and say goodbye to all the employees properly. I didn't have much time to prepare for it now."
Earlier, Bayern CEO Oliver Kahn confirmed that the club have agreed to sell Lewandowski to Barcelona.
Lewandowski scored 344 goals in 375 games for Bayern across eight years. He won multiple league titles including the Champions League.
