'He's a dynamic young footballer with excellent experience for his age': John Murtough reacts to Malacia signing

After completing the signing of Tyrell Malacia from Feyenoord, Man United Director of Football John Murtough said: “Tyrell is an exciting, dynamic young footballer with excellent experience for his age, including five seasons in the Eredivisie, a European final and full international honours for the Netherlands.

“We look forward to seeing him continue to develop under the guidance of Erik ten Hag and his coaching team in the years ahead.

“Everyone at Manchester United welcomes Tyrell to the club.”

Malacia has become the first signing in the Erik ten Hag era after impressing the gaffer during his days as Ajax manager.

The 22-year-old is expected to be competition for Luke Shaw at left-back and could even make the position his own if able to outperform him.
