Gavi is expected to wear the no. 6 jersey next season, per Diario AS. Xavi and Dani Alves (2015/16 season) used to wear it at Barcelona.
Riqui Puig is its current holder. The midfielder was not included in Barca's pre-season squad list and is expected to find himself a new club soon.
Gavi currently wears the no. 30 jersey. In August, he will sign a new contract and finally receive a first-team number.
