Frenkie de Jong 'willing to leave' Barcelona for one Premier League club — it's not Man United
According to Albert Masnou of Diario Sport, a tier-two source, Frenkie de Jong would prefer moving to London for Chelsea instead of joining Manchester United.
As a result, the Red Devils are 'beginning to rule out' a transfer for De Jong from Barcelona this summer.
Both sides have finally reached an agreement on a deal worth €75 million plus €10 million in add-ons. However, Frenkie's stance has always been to continue fighting for his place at Camp Nou.
That's not all - it's become clear that Barca are trying to force him out to avoid paying the €17 million they owe him in unpaid wages.
While Frenkie is not pleased with the situation, he has no intention of leaving. He's currently travelling with their squad for the pre-season tour.
Sport further adds that De Jong is 'not very fond' of the Premier League. He was willing to make an exception for Chelsea if a good offer had come in but that's not the case.
