Frenkie de Jong agrees 'pay cut' to stay at Barca
Frenkie de Jong is open to taking a salary slash to continue at Barcelona, as per Diario AS' Javi Miguel.
According to the journalist, Xavi had a meeting with Frenkie where he reassured the midfielder of his place in his team.
However, the gaffer asked the player to accept a pay cut to continue his chapter with Barca.
Frenkie is now willing to accept as much as a 50 per cent slash on his salary. The Dutchman would've earned up to €15m per year, from this season due to a clause in his contract.
However, with a salary cut he could earn €7m from now on or less.
