Football fan who threw Nazi salute banned from every stadium in UK
Newcastle United supporter Shay Asher has been handed a three-year ban from football after throwing a Nazi salute.
The 24-year-old will now be denied entry to every stadium in the United Kingdom after making the gesture during a Newcastle vs Tottenham game.
The salute, produced during a Premier League match in October, was addressed to travelling Spurs fans. The North London side are known to have a strong Jewish fan base.
Detective Inspector Gillian Beecroft of of Northumbria Police said: "Hate crime of any kind within our communities will not be tolerated under any circumstances and I welcome the banning order handed down to Asher."
