England win UEFA Women's Euro 2022 final by defeating Germany – Man United star Toone scores stunning goal
England have been crowned the winners of the UEFA Women’s Euro 2022 after defeating Germany 2-1 in the final.
It was a record-setting occasion at Wembley, with an incredible crowd of 87,192 for the big game.
Man United Women’s star Ella Toone helped England get the lead with a gorgeous goal, brilliantly chipping over German goalkeeper Merle Frohms.
Germany got back into the game with an equalizer from Lina Mangull, before Chloe Kelly scored the winner in extra-time to win the crown for England.
United goalkeeper Mary Earps was also immense, making many significant saves to help preserve the lead until the end.
