'Doubtful': Real Madrid's reaction to Barca transfer campaign revealed by media
According to Marca, Real Madrid have analysed the transfers Barcelona have made so far this summer. The Merengues describe them as "short term and doubtful."
Although Florentino Perez congratulated Barca on their acquisition of Lewandowski, Gerard Romero reported. But his arrival might be favourable for the league in general, at least from a marketing perspective.
The reinforcements at Camp Nou are not enough to motivate Real Madrid to spend more, it is explained. They remain focused on getting rid of the surplus players.
So far, Barca have announced the arrivals of Robert Lewandowski (€45m + add-ons), Raphinha (€58m + add-ons), Franck Kessie and Andreas Christensen (both free). More arrivals are expected to follow.
Real Madrid, in comparison, have been less active on the market. Our only signings have been Antonio Rudiger (free) and Aurelien Tchouameni (€80m + add-ons).
