'De Ligt says he never trained so hard in Italy': Bayern boss Julian Nagelsmann stings Juventus
Speaking to the media about Matthijs de Ligt's start to life at the club, Bayern Munich manager Julian Nagelsmann couldn't help but take a shot at Juventus.
The German said: "I spoke to him after training and he told me that the session was the hardest in the last four years.
"De Ligt says he never trained so hard in Italy. I'm sure it was difficult, yes, but not that much. The session wasn't even that heavy."
De Ligt, whose development slowed down somewhat after his move from Ajax to Juventus, will be hoping to take his career to the next level at Bayern after moving to the Bundesliga for a fee of €67 million.
