Barcelona are prepared to table an official bid for Jules Kounde worth €55m, according to Gerard Romeo.
Barca's offer will match what Chelsea offered Sevilla for the player. Now, unless Chelsea increases their offer, Kounde will join Barcelona in the coming days.
Sources say Barcelona sporting director Mateu Alemany and his Sevilla counterpart Monchi are currently locked in talks over the defender.
On Monday, Barcelona president Joan Laporta confirmed that Barca will make more signings, particularly in their defence.
