Ajax raise asking price for Martinez after United match their previous demands
Earlier on Friday, De Telegraaf journalist Mike Vermeij stated that Man United have met Ajax's asking price of €50 million for Lisandro Martinez.
However, the same top-tier reporter claims now that Ajax have ruled out Martinez's departure for that price either, meaning United will have to go higher.
There's also Arsenal's interest which makes Ajax hopeful that the price could be driven even higher.
Martinez reportedly pushes for the Premier League move and while he would not mind joining Arsenal, his priority is the reunion with Erik ten Hag at United.
United are desperately trying to strengthen their team ahead of the new season, but their only signing so far was left-back Tyrell Malacia from Feyenoord.
